Documentary Maker

The consultant will complete a documentary video under the project ‘Improved livelihoods for small-scale farmers in Akkar, North Lebanon’, funded by the European Union and implemented by Mada Association.  The objective of the project is to improve the livelihoods of small scale farmers mainly in three villages of Upper Akkar and surroundings. To better raise awareness on good practices, MADA would like to produce a video documentary that captures the key results, activities, successes and challenges. The documentary film will focus on the impact of Mada EU-project by highlighting significant success stories of beneficiaries of the intervention across the entire spectrum of the project.  MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES In close coordination with the project team, the consultant should: -          Prepare a script and narration for overall project documentary and the timeline of the shooting -          Develop the documentary film’s overall concept and scenario, -          Interview selected interviewees for the film who will include actual beneficiaries, mayors of municipalities, head of federation, -          Visit the project sites and interact with the local communities who have been impacted by Mada project to get context, -          Perform appropriate video filming and shoot interviews with the project’s major beneficiaries and stakeholders,   Expected Outputs: Produce final documentary version of from 5 to 8 minutes long with English and Arabic subtitles.   Deadline: The final product should be finalized by March 23rd 2017, the preliminary version should be send to Mada by March 13th 2017.
