Tdh has development projects and emergency relief programs in more than 30 countries in two core areas: healthcare and child protection. Child Protection Policy:
- Commit to respect the Tdh Child Protection Policy and principles of child protection.
- Commit to ensure the best implementation possible of the Tdh Child Protection Policy inLebanon.
- Commit to inform supervisors and to deal with any cases, allegations, or possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Tdh Child Protection Policy.
Main duties and responsibilities:
General:
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of need assessments and follow-up of the team under the direct supervision of the Program manager assistant..
- Ensures that Tdh’s need assessment actions or activities are non-biased, neutral and inclusive of all actors present in the Lebanese context.
- Ensure an efficient and respectful external coordination with all stakeholders in link with the assessment towards whom he/she represent the organization
- Operates in the office and in the field supervising and supporting the assessment field officers and assessment field workers in order to ensure an appropriate work to meet the assessment objective.
- Supports and assists in the mapping a network of resources specific to the locations he/she operates in to serve the assessment objective
- Promotes and ensures the principles of child protection and child participation are respected within the Tdh project and with identified child protection resources.
- Informs his/her direct supervisor about any difficulty met in Tdh activities implementation.
- Ensures a strict adherence to Tdh Child Protection Policy at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach, acts in the best interests of the child.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
Management:
- Responsible to promote and ensure a trusted and professional relationship between Tdh staff and relevant authorities, humanitarian actors and community leaders within each community.
- Responsible for the team management (working hours, duties, organization, planning of the work etc...) with the support of the program manager Assistant.
- Coordinates and ensures a timely, quantitative and qualitative supervision and monitoring process of all activities.
- Responsible for the monitoring of the plan and of reporting activities to the Program manager Assistant on a daily basis
- Develop and train the Assessment team about assessment protocol and tools with the support of the Program manager Assistant.
- Transferring collected data to quantitative and qualitative report in coordination with the Program manager Assistant.
- Following data entry and monitor result that serve to the assessment report.
- -If needed lead FGDs or sensitive interviews to support the assessment team
- Ensure that data gathered are readable and adequate to be analyzed.
- File all data gathered by the team in a systematic way and handover the data files to the Program manager Assistant
- Raise any security concern to the Program Manager Assistant immediately.
Reporting:
- Ensures data is collected and collated to prove the achievement of assessment objectives.
- Assists in the design, maintain and use data collection systems and punctual reporting to enable measurable results to prove the achievement of assessment objectives.
- Provide reports as required and directed by the Project Manager.

The Assessment team leader is also responsible for complying with all Tdh procedures regarding logistics, administration, security and with the anti fraud/anti corruption policy.
Any change to the proposed assessment activities should be discussed with the Program Manager Assistant.
A high degree of flexibility on the part of all staff is expected in order to respond to the ever-evolving situation. This job description may change based on the situation in the field. He/she can be asked required to perform other related duties as identified by his supervisor.
He/she knows Tdh Charter and Regulations and acts accordingly.
