About Ruwad Houkouk (FR)
Ruwad houkouk FR, is working towards:
1) Promoting the protection of stateless individuals by advocating for legal reforms and enactment of a comprehensive Nationality law, and modernizing the Personal Status Records law, and initiating a new law on Personal Status;
2) Strengthening access to justice for the refugees and stateless community living in remote rural areas.
Both components complement each other and should lead to improve the humanitarian aspects of this population in terms of right too identity and to basic fundamental rights such as education, health, and work.
Project objectives:
To reduce and prevent statelessness and promote legal protection for refugees and stateless persons in Lebanon.
Improve access to legal protection for refugees and stateless persons through direct provision of services, networking and monitoring of relevant actors, including public institutions.
Accountant's General Functions
the accountant is responsible for maintaining the budget, recording and reflecting fully, accurately, clearly and in a timely manner the funds that are allocated and the disbursements made to support project implementation, in accordance with the approved documents and the liquidation of expenditures on quarterly basis as well as upon project termination. The accountant will ensure to coordinate with FR management and use the International & Legal Accounting & financial Standards and procedures.
Accountant Major Duties and Responsabilities
Accounting
Ensures the management of the data file and the appropriate filing of the electronic and hard copies of the financial documents and reports.
Prepares the monthly financial reports based on the accounting application, with all necessary justifying documents (invoice, voucher, reconciliation...)
to record all transaction over the accouting software
Ensures a regular monitoring of the bank account(s).
Carries out the calculation of the payroll, for all contractors.
Maintains payment record of all invoices recieved.
Maintains payee statement records for all suppliers.
Carries out payments of all regular area office expenses such as office rental, telephone bills, advances, etc.
Controls procedures an processes for accounting, finance, inventory and payroll to be documented and revised upon any amendment sort by top management.
Manages banking transactions related to the project, including preparing bank transfer requests, submitting them to the bank, monitoring transfers and preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements and reporting.
reconciles all balance sheet accounts and maintains records on file.
Qualifications
Good knowledge of Lebanee administrative and accounting regulationand procedures. good computer skills in common word processing (MS Word). spreadsheet (MS Excel) and accounting softwares.
