Job Purpose:
Act according to the guiding principles Child Protection case management including: survivor centered approach, respect of confidentiality, prioritize according to safety concerns, ‘do not harm’, ensure a non-discriminatory approach, act according to the best interest of the child, ensure accountability, respect professional boundaries and avoid conflict of interest
Ensure that protection principles are understood, maintained and enforced
Provide direct support and care for vulnerable case with protection concerns (including survivors of gender-based violence), including psychosocial support and case management.

Key Areas of Accountability:
be responsible for the identification, assessment, documentation, and referral (to relevant services) and follow-up of at-risk children and families (Case Management)
Provide information and arrange social counseling for individual cases, namely children and adolescents at risk and parents in need of support.
Provide information and advise the beneficiaries on existing social services and how to access them.
Facilitate, collect and report information regarding the overall situation of child protection risks in Baalbek – Hermel, with specific attention paid to refugee children, children of host-families and returnees and other vulnerable/at-risk children
Identification and documentation of psycho-social and socio-economic needs of the beneficiaries
Submit reports weekly reports concerning implemented outreach activities and cases
Participate in weekly case management and coordination meetings
Maintain files, registers, computer databases and records in paper or electronic format
Work as a member of a team ensuring fluid communication of relevant information in order to make sure that a proper management of the case is preserved
Ensure a strict adherence to the principles of Child Protection at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach, acts in the best interests of the child
PSS Activities Include:
Participate and collaborate in other activities (recreational, psychosocial, awareness, emotional support groups) conducted in the center or outside when requested by the Field Coordinator
Support the organization of specific events or activities inside or outside the centers
Monitoring and Reporting
Provide daily and weekly updates to Project Management about new cases assessed
Contribute to the update of the Sawa case management system

Professional Competencies:
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
Reporting skills
Driving License
