About Terre des hommes Lausanne
Since its creation in 1960, the mission of Terre des hommes (Tdh) has been to come to the aid of children in need. It endeavors at all times to defend the rights of children, in times of war and natural disasters, or in less publicized situations of distress. Today, the Terre des hommes Foundation is a significant force among children’s aid organizations in Switzerland and throughout the world. Tdh has development projects and emergency relief programmes in more than 30 countries in two core areas: healthcare and child protection. Every year, Tdh offers sustainable solutions and a better future for over one million children and their relatives.
Context:
Implementing development and emergency response Child Protection projects in Lebanon since the 1970’s, Tdh started activities for vulnerable children and their caregivers affected by the Syrian Crisis in South Lebanon from 2012. Over the past year Tdh intervention has reached over 28,000 beneficiaries and in 2016 onwards the organization will strengthen its integrated Child Protection and Gender Based Violence program. The project implemented in two districts of South Lebanon (Tyre and Saida) include psycho-social support services including case management, awareness raising activities, distribution of relief items and capacity building of local governmental and civil society actors in the field of CP and GBV. The project is implemented in close collaboration with national and international humanitarian response stakeholders.
Job description:
-Manage and lead the M&E Team in order to have an effective and functional M&E action for all programs in collaboration with Program Managers and Program Coordinator. -Ensure that the M&E tools are efficient and directed to answer to project indicators and ensure that data analysis is adequately shaped in coordination with the IM Section. -Ensure that Program teams are closely updated and consulted on the development of M&E Tools.
Strategy and Policy:
Support the development of strategic guidelines for the delegation in coordination with the Q&A Coordinator, Program Coordinator and Delegate through ensuring an efficient data collection and analysis.
Participate in drawing up intervention strategies in the field of project monitoring and evaluation, capitalization, together with the Q&A Coordinator
skills required:
Knowledge of policies and global strategies of Tdh and of his/her sector
Research and Development:
Actively conduct a review of the tools used for monitoring and evaluation of programs in cooridnation with Q&A Co. and Program Co.
Actively propose new methodologies for M&E as well as new tools if needed.
Ensure that best practices are documented as well as lessons learnt around projects in close cooridnation with Program managers.

Personnel Management/ Team Management:
Communicate and collaborate in accordance with the communication contract
Coordinate closely with the IM Sector in the Mission to ensure to have same vision and understanding of IM and M&E Activities.
Ensure dissemination of information about the M&E activities and actions within Program teams.
Ensure and channel the flow of information between the M&E Sector in the mission and the other departments (IM, Programs, Training Officers etc).
Provide technical support required by other departments in cooridnation with the line manager
Lead, advise, support and supervise the members of the team under his/her responsibility in the implementation of their daily activities
Prepare monthly and weekly plans for his/her team
Ensure deployment of the teams accoridng to the plan and M&E Objectives in close cooridnation with LOG.
Recruit and train his/her immediate staff (welcome, integrate, listen, support, motivate, assess, involve, train, take disciplinary action against them, ensure they are updated and their skills are developed)

Ensure project monitoring plans are incorprated in the project implementation planning as per tools provided
Ensure the development of efficient qualitative monitoring tools with qualitative methodologies.
Ensure that data analysis is developed accordingly to project indicators needs and in collaboration with program teams
Ensure that data gathered by M&E Team are adequately entered and analyzed
Ensure to develop adequate and timely analysis system of data in close cooridnation with IM Manager and Sector.
Ensure that data entered are cross checked with M&E department
