Resource Management Assistant

Under the overall supervision of Head of Office and under the direct supervision of Resources Management Officer (RMO), The successful candidate, as Resource Management Assistant will Supports the RMO in extracting information and generating expenditure reports from computerized information system databases; assists in preliminary analyses of the extracted information and the reports generated, and highlights areas of concern for the attention. Compiles data and other information required by the RMO in the review and analysis of relevant proposals. Verifies accuracy of input data, ensuring consistency of data in previous allotments to new allotments issued. Bringing errors to the attention of the RMO concerned; ensures that all necessary corrections are incorporated in the system; co-ordinates with other finance staff on related issues.  Undertake quality control checks on the monthly accounts, ensure that vendor accounts are cleared in a timely manner and review all other outstanding financial matters with banks and suppliers. In coordination with RMO, review request for payment and receipt prior to the approval and processing of payment or receipt.  Drafts routine correspondence with respect to enquiries related to relevant financial matters. Maintains and keep up-to-date files. Provides general support to the Head of the unit and RMO, as required. Performs other related duties, as assigned.

University degree, preferably in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration. Four years work experience in financial management, accounting and budgeting; good knowledge of accounting system. Field experience in a post conflict environment. Familiarity with financial oversight and public administration. Ability to supervise and direct staff.
