Job Title : Collective Site Management & Coordination Field Monitor
Job Purpose:
The CSMC Field Monitors will be responsible for regular supporting committee formation in targeted collective sites, ensuring regular monitoring and follow up of targeted collective sites (including provision of, and access to, services for residents) and enhancing coordination of relevant stakeholders.
Generic Duties:
Undertake regular field visits to collective sites that they support and will routinely update site information in structured site profiles.
Directly support implementation of trainings for community members residing in targeted collective sites.
Thoroughly investigate surrounding community capacities in order to creatively leverage opportunities for collective site residents to enjoy better access to services and other activities including vocational training.
Specific Duties:
Site and Family profiling:
Assess the area/ environment surrounding the CS (local authorities, SDCs, Schools, service providers)
Assess/ Update the CSs profile.
Assess the social structures in the collective sites, identify/ meet existing leaders/ focal points/ committees members.
Update the lists of families residing in the covered sites.
Establish and empower community based groups:
Establish/ strengthen refugee based committees while ensuring AGDM.
Provide/organize for capacity building sessions.
Regular meetings with the committees/ focal points.
Establish communication links between focal points/ committees and local authorities.
Facilitate dialogue between the refugees living in collective sites and host communities aimed at fostering social cohesion.
Mapping of service providers
Mapping of service providers, (COB, PHC...) surrounding the sites areas.
Ongoing information dissemination within CSs regarding access to available services and assistance.
Mobilize community based activities:
Mobilize community based activities, awareness session, FGD, SI, ILST, PSS and recreational activities.
To liaise with relevant service providers and other partners conducting outreach activities.
Protection:
Identification and referral of protection concerns/ risk/incidents.
Tracking and reporting protection trends
Initial identification of vulnerable families for referral
Reporting:
Weekly report
Monthly report
Sites updating sheet
Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Professional Competencies:
- Previous experience in humanitarian Work (working on refugee related legal problems).
- Knowledge on how to communicate with vulnerable population groups, such as women, children, youth, elderly, disable and refugees.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of local communities and customary rules.
Behavioural competencies:
- Excellent communication and organization.
- Punctuality and respect for applicable rules and procedures.
- Ethical and transparent decision-making.
- Independence, i.e. conducting tasks with minimal supervision, and stress resilience.
