It Assistant

Job Purpose: The IT Logistics Assistant is responsible for the smooth running of all ICT equipment and software for the bases of Beirut, Zahle and Tyr according to INTERSOS procedures.   General duties: Ensure the correct installation, functioning, use, maintenance and disposal of all ICT equipment and software; Provide an help desk service supporting with prompt assistance all colleagues with ICT related problems; Recommend network enhancements and upgrades; indicate any relevant modifications required; Assist staff in understanding and using technology; Ensure virus free network environment; Provide operational support for Intersos Management Platform.     Specific duties: Managing and solving problems of office wide computer systems, printers, scanners, pc power supplies, etc.. Set up and delivery of new devices. Install software and virus protection applications to all computers. Recovery of lost data in case of data loss. Install printers, scanners and other related equipment for clients as required and requested. Proper maintenance of assets and office equipments such as AC, Laptops, Printers, etc.. Elaborate and keep updated file for maintenance. Manages network operations including: troubleshooting connectivity problems; installing & maintaining routers; establishing e-mail; assessing and reporting operational status; performing backups and restores; etc.. Performs routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software. Responsible for troubleshooting workstations, networks, software applications, phones, copiers and other technologies. Ensure and maintain confidentiality of technology related all procedures and systems; Assists in other duties as needed and directed. Support the senior logistics staff with the management of technology inventory including procurement and disposal. Conduct physical stock checks of ICT equipment periodically. Weekly report of vehicle’s GPS data. Other logistic duties time to time as directed.     Competencies:  (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)   Professional Competencies: -      Up to 2 years’ experience in IT -      Experience in logistics is an advantage -      Good knowledge of office ICT and Security appliances installation and system maintenance -      Proficient in MS office (word, excel,...) -      Basic knowledge of Outlook, Google Drive, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) -      Valid Lebanese driving licence   Behavioural competencies: -      High level of integrity and honesty -      High level of planning and organising skills and ability to meet deadlines -      Very good communication skills -      Very good negotiation and interpersonal skills with national & international staff -      High level of Analytical thinking skills -      High level of change and adaptability; works productively in a high pressured environment
