Deputy Area Manager- Tripoli

Prepare work plans with the project coordinators and follow up on the implementation Coordinate and attend regular program meetings held in the field office to learn about the progress of program implementation and to provide support with problem-solving Assist in the day-to-day programme correspondence, reports and information sharing and filing ensuring that appropriate follow-up actions are taken. Provide administrative support to the coordinators of the Programmes. Participate in the implementation of assessments and other information collection exercises to inform future programming. Coordinate field visits for donors and other visitors in cooperation with field-based staff, Program coordinators and Senior Management on behalf of the area manager. Coordinate and attend the programme weekly meetings, draft and share the minutes of meeting Maintain an updated contact list of stakeholders, NGOs, iNGOs, UN agencies, and other partners Maintain the proper filing and archiving of projects/programme activities, including periodic computers back-up and legal papers. Assist in the preparation of the newsletter, press releases, project files, and progress reports Assist in the organization of workshops, training activities, meetings, fieldtrips, roundtables (booking the venue, budget preparation, equipment, documents and stationery to be used) Help in the translation of material as needed Assist the area manager on regular analysis on the context and humanitarian situation in the area for the development of project proposals and safety assessments. Attend internal/external meeting on behalf of the area manager.   Qualifications: Minimum 4 years management experience, overseeing humanitarian and development multi-sector, multi-donor programmes and projects; Proven experience in strategic development and program design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Proven excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English/Arabic essential. Excellent report writing skills is a must. Experience in livelihoods, housing/infrastructure, protection, direct assistance and relief Flexible, adaptable, ability to improvise Strength in interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
