INTRO Within the framework of the initiatives promoted in Lebanon to support the resilience and well‐being of children affected by Syrian crisis through community based, structured PSS and Educational activities, Terre des Hommes Italy (TDH IT) is looking for 1 M&E Officer to join our team.   The M&E Officer post is located in Zahle TDH IT Office (Ksara) and reports to the M&E Coordinator.    JOB PURPOSE, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   The M&E Officer will support the M&E Coordinator and TDH IT Project/Program Management in developing and implementing TDH IT M&E strategy. Working closely with Project Managers and technical experts, the M&E Officer assists in monitoring the implementation of several regional projects. Main responsibilities:   Under the supervision of the M&E Coordinator, support the Projects managers in developing project monitoring plans   Follow-up needs/vulnerability assessment data collection (ODK) and support the M&E Coordinator in related data analysis.   Maintain and constantly develop M&E tools, such as children daily attendance databases, ensuring the quality of data collected. Under the supervision of the M&E Coordinator, support the Projects managers with relevant timely updates on targets (reports) against the project Logical Framework   Train and support field and TDH IT partners’ staff in data collection through the designed tools.   Closely monitor the progress of the project, attending weekly coordination meetings.   Under the supervision of the M&E Coordinator and TDH IT specialists, conduct regular field visits to TDH IT projects locations (North Bekaa) and Focus Group Discussion with field staff and beneficiaries. Provide evidence-based recommendations to the relevant Project Manager and Partners   Attending, on behalf of TDH IT, sector/cluster and inter-agency meetings.    Qualifications and Experience University degree in International Relations, Sociology, Political Science or a related field; 3 to 5 years of relevant progressively responsible professional experience, including at the field level, in the NGO system; 3 years demonstrated experience implementing M&E programs in emergency or post-conflict projects; High proficiency in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel is a must; Strong personnel leadership skills, particularly mentoring skills; Experience in working with a diverse team; Demonstrated experience using international data management standards in INGOs programming; Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, flexibility, ability to improvise, team player; Ability to live and productively work under stress and in insecure and harsh environments.
