Youth And Partnerships Coordinator

In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:    Serves as the focal person on youth as well as on NGO partnerships and networking, within the UNRWA Education Programme in Lebanon reporting directly to his/her supervisor.   Coordinates with national and international NGOs as well as UNRWA schools in the field and Technical and Vocational Training Centres in both campuses (South and North) in order to identify gaps in youth programming and proposes interventions accordingly.   Contributes to the design and development of a local youth advisory board and overall youth outreach strategy as part of enrolment campaigns and in coordination with partner organisations,    Regularly facilitates youth focus groups and reports on these to the Education Programme.   Carries out a comprehensive mapping of partners working in the field of youth related programming and relevant activities.   Suggests new areas of joint programming in close coordination with the Education Programme.   Implements and monitors progress of project activities’ related to youth,   preparing semi-annual progress reports, ensures that adequate financial and accountability procedures are followed and takes appropriate recommendations or actions to optimize use of programme funds in coordination with the Project Manager.    Ensures the timely development and implementation of results-based annual work plans for projects on adolescents and youth programming.   Proposes adjustments and changes in work plan as well as programme recommendation for new approaches, methods and practices as deemed necessary.   Undertakes field visits and collaborates with partners to monitor and assess programme implementation and proposes required corrective action.   Assesses the program requirements of youth within the Education Programme current activities while seeking to identify new possible areas of collaboration in coordination with the UNRWA’s Education Programme in Lebanon, the private sector and civil society in Lebanon.   Facilitates partnership and collaboration with internal and external counterparts in order to improve the capacity to collect and disseminate data, information and exchange information on programme status.   Contributes to the Education Programme by supporting knowledge management through providing professional assistance in data collection and analysis, complete and accurate preparation of programme reports, donor proposals and other documents related to youth programming as required.   Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
