Internship - Education Unit - Int036 - Beirut, Lebanon

Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results) -         Analyse trends and statistics of the type of education cases referred by other agencies -         Communicate with Field Offices regarding reporting from partners -         Assist in preparations of education meetings, attend and take minutes of meetings -         Create an efficient digital archiving system on UNHCR’s shared drive -         Assist in updating weekly/monthly inter-agency and education briefing notes -         Data entry to update and maintain sectorial activities, service note directories, and other documents as needed -         Develop and maintain a filing system for the education unit -         Keep record and manage the education stock material -         Translate written materials (both from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic), including meeting minutes, briefing notes, governmental circulars and other materials as needed -         Act as translator in meetings when required -         Perform any other administrative tasks as required

2.4 ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

- University degree preferable but students of the following disciplines are encouraged: international relations, social science, political science, or related fields of discipline.
- Job experience: No experience required
- Proficiency in English and Arabic. French is a plus

2.5 DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES.

- Good knowledge of computer applications such as MS word, outlook and PPT. Familiarity with ProGres Data Base is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of MS excel
- Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills to deal with refugees or colleagues of different cultural and educational backgrounds
