Job Title: Social Stability Officer
Project Framework: Support to Municipalities affected by the Syrian crisis enhancing social stability and technical skills opportunities
Funding Agency: Bolzano Province - ITALY
Duty Station: GVC Office in Ain, North Bekaa
Line Manager: Field Coordinator and Protection Coordinator
Responsible for: Youth social cohesion activities
Contract: 2 months renewable
Roles and responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator and the Protection Coordinator, the Social Stability Officer will be responsible of the following functions:
Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of Social Stability activities,
Submit in English weekly and monthly reports on the implementation and the outcomes;
Supporting in the creation of youth groups to promote dialogue with the municipalities
Overview the community profiling and vulnerabilities;
Assist the coordinators in the identification of socio-economic most vulnerable youth,
Assist the LHSP Team in preparing and reviewing donors and project proposals;
Conduct daily field visits and meetings with project beneficiaries;
Analyze protection data and develop a coherent analysis of beneficiaries;
Review and suggest modifications to the Field coordinator and the Protection coordinator;
Support the field coordinator in liaising with the local partners
Perform any other duties
Reporting
The Officer is responsible for preparing accurate and timely reports of their individual activities to the Social Worker Supervisor. In particular, this includes maintaining signed records of the engagement and activities with the community.
Competencies
Capacity in drafting reports in English
Sufficient knowledge of the Local Economic contexts and main issues affecting social stability in Lebanon
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and work under pressure
The candidate shall have particular capacity of team working, supervision, and gathering different people towards shared objectives and actions.
Experience:
Relevant work experience in:
Participatory needs assessment and community development project implementation;
Field work with international and/or local development agencies, with focus on protection and economic development (including cash for work)
Experience of work with municipalities, and/or ministries;
