Project Assisstant

Job Description(UNHCR funded Project) Undertakes duties as directed and/or requested by the Project Coordinator, to support the delivery and implementation of the activities under the project. The activities will focus on improving the learning capacity and behavior of children with LD and ADHD, and to support their integration within the formal education. Does continuous monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project, to the project coordinator Conducts visitations to the targeted schools, to meet with the school directors, regarding project implementation and follow-up, and schedules required focus group meetings with the school directors. Conducts conferences targeting the parents of children enrolled in the targeted schools and the educators. Organizes and monitors the execution of training modules targeting teachers and outreach volunteers, awareness session targeting parents, and the execution of the reconciliation activities. Coordinates between the project social workers and school directors in implementing and scheduling reconciliation activities within the targeted public schools. Schedules and coordinates meetings and appointments. Prepares minutes for meetings. Prepares agendas for meetings and trainings, and coordinates with the event organizer that all materials are prepared for all trainings, awareness sessions, and/or meetings. Coordinates with the project coordinator and social workers regarding acquiring the appropriate target groups. Coordinates between the social workers and M&E officer to ensure that all evaluation tests are being recorded by the specialists. Attends team meetings and organizational initiatives as required. Preserves all records of all information related to project for documentation, clarification and presentation to management (attendance sheets, training and meeting agendas, training applications and evaluation forms, surveys, etc.). Functions as an intermediate between the project coordinator and other stakeholders namely school directors, educators, parents to ensure the smooth flow of project execution. Undertakes any other duties as appropriate and within the post holder’s capabilities. Maintains continuous follow-up with school directors and educators as regards the referral of cases in need of mental health services, training schedules, reconciliation activities.
