Psychologist (Bekaa)

I. Summary  The Psychologist will be responsible for planning and conducting awareness sessions for refugees’ women in Bekaa.   II. Responsibilities and essential functions  Develop an awareness session plan and conduct awareness sessions for women. Examine the role of the traumatic experience in the context of the women’s life, currently and historically, and enhance the women’s coping mechanisms. Identify protection concern and provide psychological support to cases of concern. Make necessary and timely referrals when needed, respecting confidentiality and the beneficiary’s right Hold a weekly meeting with the Program Coordinator. Ensure timely reporting of the activities to the Program Coordinator. Build the capacity of the field staff on psychological issues. Perform other duties as required or assigned   III.       Qualifications Knowledge, skills and abilities: Good organizational skills. Advanced knowledge in psychosocial / psychological interventions Dynamic personality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and initiative taker.  Good report writing skills. Ability to communicate with vulnerable populations. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus.
