Project Coordinator For The Project Speak Up- 2017: Know And Get Your Rights!

Project Objective Provide a positive and healthy atmosphere for people living with HIV and raise awareness about human rights and specifically the rights of people having HIV or being at higher risk of contracting HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases such as LGBT, refugees, drug users and sex workers.     Aim: Providing proper management of the projects tasks, ensuring proper follow up engaged with all partners and other involved team members and make sure that all logistics tasks within the project’s activities are implemented    Reporting lines a) Reports to: Project Director- SIDC b) Coordinate with the financial report preparation with the accountant c) Subordinates: Social worker and Communication officer 5) Responsibilities   Management and Coordination  To coordinate and follow on the work of the social worker and the communication officer (colleagues in the project)  To facilitate the work of the accountant by providing all documents for the financial report  To coordinate all tasks related to the project with all stakeholders, partners and consultants  To observe the progress of the project activities and take appropriate actions with the support of the team members and under the supervision of the Project Director  To support the social worker officer for the performance of some tasks such as: hotline service, collection and documentation of violations of PLHIV' rights upon request.  To collaborate and to support the monitoring consultant work.   Attending a special training The project coordinator will be open to build his/her capacities in the fields such as: legal, medical, and communication in order to perform the tasks requested within the project Terms of Reference of the “Speak Up Project: A Human Rights and HIV Monitoring and Response System for HIV Law Reform in Lebanon”   Grant implementation and reporting  To store and file all data of the project  To prepare and submit monthly report to the Project Director and submit all related reports to the donors as per the agreement signed between SIDC and MEPI.  To support the implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program;  Be involved in coordinating the work with all team members and consultants recruited for the project  Participate in regular team meetings;  Answer requests from Program Director   Coordination and representation  Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, and service providers;  Manage referrals from different parties and divide tasks between the team and do inform the Program Director;  Provide feedback of actions taken to SIDC Project Director and other agencies when necessary;  Liaise with relevant stakeholders and advocacy to address specific issues;  The representation of the project outcomes will be coordinated under the supervision of the Project Director;  Work closely with the team and consultant in order to monitor the work progress.   Others  Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as per the Project Director requests.   Essential attributes: a) Essential qualifications:  Master’s in public Health or Master degree in social work  Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of beneficiaries;  Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.  Flexibility in working overtime when needed;  Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel);  Comfortable in a multi-sectoral environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well. b) Essential experience:  At least 2 years of experience in management of health project;  Knowledge about HIV/AIDS and other related issues is an asset   Competency profile:  Analytical skills  Flexibility  Systematic  Communication  Teamwork skills  Initiative(proactive)  Professionalism  Organizational awareness  High level of commitment and High level of Confidentiality   Languages:  Fluency in Arabic is a must  English writing skills is a must
