Education Field Coordinator

Summary International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland is the official humanitarian relief agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America. Since its inception in 1992, IOCC has delivered $488 million in relief and development programs to families and communities in more than 50 countries. IOCC is looking for an Education Field Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the educational activities for the youth and children in Beirut community centers and PHCs.   Responsibilities and essential functions Monitor field level implementation of children and youth educational activities Monitor the qualitative and quantitative delivery of the classes, such as student progress, teaching methods, attendance rates, materials management, etc. Conduct regular coordination meetings with the educators, the caregivers and community representative groups to identify activity progress, successes and areas for improvement. Prepare weekly planning in coordination with the Program Coordinator Responsible for documentation, such as attendance sheets, teacher feedback forms and meeting with parents. Monitor the correct usage of documentation, and support to fill gaps as needed. Assist the Program Coordinator in the development and/or procurement of materials and supplies required for program activities. Organize extracurricular activities and assist in the final event preparation. Coordinate the education sessions in the PHCs. Hold a weekly meeting with the Program Coordinator. Ensure timely reporting of the activities to the Program Coordinator. Perform other duties as required or assigned   Qualifications Knowledge, skills and abilities: Good organizational skills. Dynamic personality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations Self-motivated and initiative taker.  Good report writing skills. Ability to communicate with vulnerable populations. Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience. Previous experience in NGO and humanitarian field is an advantage. Experience in classroom settings i.e. teaching, teacher support, etc.
