The GBV Officer leads and coordinates protection program with the objective of providing timely and effective protection to populations of concern, as well as supervising protection interventions within the office.
Duties
Daily coordination with key staff working on GBV cases, including Social Workers, lawyers, psychologist etc.
Coordination with UNHCR SGBV sector and sub-working groups regarding GBV
Receive referrals from different agencies and local actors and provide feedback of actions taken
Act as liaison between donor and other actors on individual protection cases for referral regarding SFV
Conduct monitoring visits at field level on application of GBV principles, conduct awareness sessions with staff, partners and beneficiaries, liaising with M & E team to ensure GBV principles are represented in monitoring activities
Engage staff on regular basis to oversee work and ensure GBV programs are technically sound and all activities are respectful of standards on GBV
Report to Protection Officer on weekly tasks and key priority areas of work (TBD in consultation with Protection Officer)
Ensuring training and capacity building for staff working with GBV cases, including but not limited to Code of Conduct, Psychological First Aid etc.
On the job coaching for relevant staff, as required
Follow up on the data collection pertaining to protection and monitors the management of GBV cases
