Protection Officer

The Protection Officer leads and coordinates protection program with the objective of providing timely and effective protection to populations of concern, as well as supervising protection interventions within the office   Duties: Co-lead implementation of Protection Strategy Supervising CP & SGBV Officers, with some oversight of legal team activities Rolling out Key Protection Policies, Code of Conduct etc. - conducting trainings and/or sharing materials with others to train Stay abreast of political, social, economic and cultural developments that have an impact on the protection environment Ensure that protection considerations are mainstreamed throughout all of Caritas’ work, by ensuring the safety, dignity and meaningful access of beneficiaries Attend National protection working group meetings Ensure systematic application of and adherence to all quality standards and protection policies (need to specify) Fill the National Tracker for information related to protection activities Follow up on the proper implementation of the MOU between CLMC and INTERSOS Skills: Adaptation to specific working condition Capacity to work under high pressure Strong cross-cultural communication and resilience skills are very important Experience in supervising and mentoring other staff Able to work in harsh, unstable and difficult conditions, independently and in a team Able to establish and maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Ability to maintain outstanding working relationships with external and internal sources Ability to show initiative and take responsibility Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
