Main Purpose
Carry out or supervise all maintenance logistic activities in the base (vehicles, fuel consumption, local infrastructure) according to MSF protocols in order to have the material, infrastructure and vehicles in optimal running conditions.
Accountabilities
- Plan vehicles movements, track individual trips, and ensure implementation of security measures.
- Track consumption of supplies, fuel, lubricants, used in different facilities (office, clinics...etc.).
- Check that all kind of waste of the facilities is correctly discarded.
- Check and ensure the maintenance of MSF premises and facilities, as well as the general water supply, electrical, walls, ceilings... and security conditions. In this sense, make inspection visits to assess the rehabilitation needs of facilities.
- Perform maintenance of logistics equipment for cold chain, energy and IT in particular:
Inventories and the reallocation of equipment.
Check the quality of the work carried out on generators and electrical installations.
- Ensures that the line manager is aware of any problems linked to the quality or availability of the items to be purchased.
- Follow up of supply in close collaboration with Shatila team who is in charge of purchase.
- Encode Lx7 and file the orders and the stock to be registered in MSF standard templates.
- Close collaboration with the admin/fin for any logistic payment or HR issue.
- Participates in trainings at the request of the line manager.
- Follow up of logistic contracts (laundry, waste, water, rubbish, and internet).
- Responsible for all sub-contracted work that might be needed on the project (Electrician, plumber...etc.).
- Water and sanitation: responsible of water supply (quantity and quality), medical waste disposal, sanitation and hygiene (together with the medical team) in MSF facilities in Shatila.
- Power supply: responsible of management and maintenance of generators, power for the installations within the project.
- Responsible for the proper storage of any item related to the project (including active and passive cold chain) and transport of all material (including active and passive cold chain) according to MSF standards in coordination with the medical team.
- Responsible for the management of all biomedical equipment, ensure the proper maintenance follow up is in place and coordinate with the coordination team for any default.
- Administrate the backup and virus update and scan of all project computers regularly.
- Supervise crowd controllers and drivers including preparation of working schedule, annual leave, evaluations ...
- Close collaboration with the admin/fin for any logistic payment or HR issue.
Additional tasks
On request perform any other additional duties given by the immediate supervisor in order to allow the organization to function optimal.
Recquirements
Essential
- Education: Technical Degree.
- Working experience: Two to three years of experience.
- Computer skills at user level (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Languages: Arabic: Fluent, English: Excellent.
Desirable
- Previous experience with other NGOs.
