Project Manager

The Lebanese Medical Association for Sexual Health (LebMASH) is recruiting a highly organized, hardworking, reliable, and responsible project manager to work closely with the executive director and board members in developing training material for its mental health training project in line with the Ministry of Public Health. As part of its mission to advance mental health for marginalized communities, LebMASH is launching a mental health training project for a period of one year starting October 2016 and ending in October 2017.   Job Description The project manager oversees technical and operational implementation of the project and is responsible for meeting the project goals, within the set deadlines, and reporting to LebMASH Board and funders. The project manger will be responsible for tailoring the training material by working closely with the executive director and the board. The developed training material will become a printed manual that will be later distributed to all relative mental health associations and institutions.  The project manager will work closely with the executive director and the board member responsible for the project. S/he will be in charge of recruiting and managing a team of people, including recruiting and managing trainers.   Responsibilities: -       Design a training module for mental health professionals within 3 month of employment period -       Manage the logistics of the training taking place in the whole period of the project. -       Ensure effective and productive communication among the team working on the project -       Ensure that the funders reporting deadlines are met 1 week in advance of the report deadline.  -       Work closely with the accountant, admin and executive director in order to mange the         project budget and stay within the limits of the assigned budget. -       Ensure the proper expenditure of the budget line. (I don’t understand) -       Design the training manual in collaboration with LebMASH board -       Organize focus groups for assessment prior to writing the training manual. -       Organize a Training of Trainers prior to the launch of the 23 trainings.  Qualifications: -       A BA/MA in psychology/Psychiatry or Medicine – or a Masters in public health -       The project manager has to be familiar with LGBTI related studies. -       Experience and knowledge in medical research and writing evidence based medicine articles/training material -       Background in mental health or health sciences and familiarity with medical scientific referencing is highly desirable. -       Two years’ experience in project management.   Preferred Skills: -       Strong communication skills -       Detail oriented -       Ability to work and produce within very strict deadlines -       Fluent in Arabic & English. French is a plus -       Time flexibility -       Very strong follow up skills -       Demonstrated people and financial management skills -       Certified trainer   LebMASH is an equal opportunity employer.
