Media And Communication Consultant

The media and communication consultant will set the communication and media strategy of the mental health programme, and will work on its implementation. Accordingly, the consultant will be reporting to the Head of National Mental Health Programme. Responsibilities develop the media and communication strategy (including a Public Relations plan, Web Strategy and Crisis Communication Plan) of the mental health programme, using a participatory approach Set an implementation plan for the media and communication strategy and update it on a regular base Maintain a database of key journalists, celebrities, media and communication outlets Engage as needed with key journalists and celebrities relevant to the Programme Conduct media clipping and compile articles and programmes' information relevant to the Programme Contribute to media and other campaigns planning Produce digital contents (stories, photos, blogs, videos) to be used by the Programme and other websites and to liaise with other team members to maximise the use of the contents generated. Advise the Programme on planning and production of new publications and visibility material. Prepare and disseminate mental health proagemme communication material to relevant media Prepare press conferences and media events, facilitate media visits Prepare fact sheets and newsletters Translate the communication material when needed Perform other activities as needed Participate in the weekly meeting and capacity building activities Ensure that the branding and communication guidelines of the Programme are uniformly and consistently followed. Ensure appropriate branding and visibility for the partners of the Programme in joint activities Observe and practice the child protection protocol in relating with media, journalists, celebrities, and interaction with children and adolescents (directly or indirectly) Deliverables Media and communication strategy Implementation plan for the media and communication strategy Database of  key journalists, celebrities, media and communication outlets prepared Media clipping
