RESPONSIBILITIES The Health Projects Coordinator will work in cooperation with the relevant Sector, Program and Partnerships Coordinators.
He/she will handle the below responsibilities:
1) Being accountable for the implementation of two primary health care projects;
2) Attend relevant coordination meetings (partners, donors, working groups);
3) Monitor the health activities in primary health care centers at the field level in coordination with the Medical Coordinator, the Health Officer and the relevant staff at the centers level;
4) Draft field visit and monthly narrative reports in addition to other reporting tasks as per donors and partners requirements;
5) Contribute to the programming of projects;
6) Identify needs and gaps in programming and proactively suggest new activities;
7) Assist the Medical Coordinator in the recruitment of staff at the center level.
8) With the support of the Finance Officer and in coordination with the Medical Coordinator, the Health Officer and Programs Coordinator, oversee the responsibility of finance projections, budget management and financial reporting.
9) Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS
1) Previous experience in planning, implementing and coordinating projects with NGOs or UN agencies;
2) Previous experience in working with women, children and youth immigrants and/or refugees;
3) Previous experience in the health sector;
4) Previous experience related to programs financed through UNHCR, UNICEF, ECHO, DFID and other prominent institutional donors; 5) Previous experience in monitoring and evaluating programs (design of workplans, logframes, M/E tools, vulnerability criteria, reporting, etc.);
6) Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
7) Functional Arabic;
8) Ability to work under pressure and to respect deadlines;
9) Organizational skills;
10) Knowledge of the Lebanese and of the Syrian crisis contexts;
11) Team spirit, culturally sensitive;
12) Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of application; 13) French (Asset)
