Project Manager (Part Time)

Responsibilities and tasks Planning and Management: Manage all project resources and meeting all targets: Develop a detailed work plan of the activities assigned to him/her  Follow-up on the activities needed to implement the project successfully including close follow up of and coordination with people, staff and other consultants, on the project Conduct necessary office work and field trips needed for a proper implementation of the activities Ensure coordination with local stakeholders, communities including but not limited to local authorities (mohafez, municipalities, etc.), local NGOs, project stakeholders such as accommodation owners, local guides, business owners, local NGOs, partners, etc. Update LMTA team and project stakeholders on the progress of the activities  Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project deliverables and standards  Manage budget plans and monitor expenditures in collaboration with treasurer and accountant and according to LMTA’s procurement and accounting policies and procedures Monitor the implementation of the activities assigned to him/her and ensure that the project deliverables are on time, at the required level of quality and within the agreed-upon budget Reporting: write reports as required by project donor and lead partner and LMTA and communicate with partners as outlined in grant agreement Participate in management meetings and events as needed for the purpose of advancing the project activities and support in tasks related to the project activities assigned to him/her Supervision  The Project Manager will report to the LMTA Board, represented by its President or her designee.  He/she will work in full coordination with other LMTA staff. Profile Required Master Degree in Development, Tourism, Environmental Sciences or any other related field At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management in the fields of community development or tourism or environment, preferably with NGOs  Language proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English required, French is a plus Ethical, and has interest in community development, rural tourism and conservation  Willing to conduct field trips to remote and rural areas on regular basis Ability to work under pressure  Additional knowledge and Skills Understanding the project management procedures Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Knowledge of Community mobilization techniques Experience in development project reporting
