Project Coordinator

TDH IT is implementing a project funded by the Italian Development Cooperation (DGCS) that aims to improve the capacity of the Union of the Municipalities of Shahhar to provide the most vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian communities with services and support through the implementation of activities intended to increase the family income and to improve the preservation and the promotion of the environment. The Project Coordinator post is located in Mount LebanonOffice based in Beirut, with frequent missions to the project’s locations. Working closely with the Area Coordinator, the Logistician and the Local Engineer in charge of the supervision of works, the Coordinator will support the implementation of the project in the field. He/she reports to the assigned Project Manager in Beirut. Job description: Conduct need assessment surveys Support the Selection Committee in the selection process of the Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese according to the established criteria Contribute to the creation of the strategic working plan Identify the areas where conducting awareness activities, through the support of the municipalities Supervise the rapid employment activities including the rehabilitation and restoration works of public streets and green areas, the recycling management, the making of bakery products and the implementation of trainings and informative sessions and awareness campaign on recycling management Conduct regular visits to the activities to ensure the quality of the project supporting in the process of monitoring and evaluation through the use of tools provided by project’s team in accordance with the Logical Framework Provide strategic advice and ensure appropriate coordination within the 13 municipalities and various partners on the implementation of the initiatives Support the PM in developing and strengthening partnerships with relevant national and international institutions on specific issues related to the project Collect the administrative and photographic documentation Support the dissemination of best practices and lessons learned Provide timely and detailed reporting of project activities to the PM Timely identify, inform and discuss any issues with the PM Work closely and effectively with TDH IT Lebanon staff Represent TDH IT in the field and during meetings where appropriate Guarantee that the intervention respects the dignity and autonomy of the people involved, in compliance with the guidelines of the Donor, in particular on disability, gender and protection of the minors’ issues and regarding communication policies Experience required: 3 to 5 years of relevant progressively responsible professional experience, including experience in the field and at international level, preferably with previous experience in working with NGOs in Livelihood support, Protection, Environment and Cash for Work activities Core Competencies: Achieving results, accountability, developing professional expertise, analytical thinking, working in teams, communicating for impact Values: the observation of ethics, understood as honesty, loyalty, correctness and compliance with the laws, represents a primary value for Terre des Hommes Italy. TDH IT has a strict child protection policy.
