Interpreters/translators – Hcr005/006 – Service Contractors - Beirut

  The Interpreter Assistant, he/she will interpret for interviews and translate documents provided by UNHCR Units, interpret and translate for other purposes as required, assists international staff for interpretation and other assistance if , as needed,  assist with clerical and other duties as needed.   Accountability (key results that will be achieved)    UNHCR’s policies, standards and doctrine are consistently and coherently applied.   Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)   Translate documents provided by UNHCR related to protection , Programme, Management and other units within UNHCR Lebanon Translators will be responsible on the quality of the work and translation that  meets UNHCR standards Translators are to ensure confidentiality of  UNHCR documents and translation Interpret and translate for other purposes, as required;

2.4 ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Define the educational background, the relevant job experience and the language(s) that are essential to perform the work of the position.
- University degree in Interpretation, Translation, Linguistics or related field.
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Arabic and English.
- Strong drafting and analytical skills.
- Excellent organization, communication and advanced computer skills
- Experience in Working with Refugees or other Persons of Concern
