Communication Officer
Objectives
The Communication Officer will design and implement the communication strategy for Zoukak, under the direct responsibility of the General Manager.
He/ She will be based at Zoukak Main Office in Beirut.

Mission 1: General Tasks
- Manage communication team (consultants/ assistants/ interns/ other) as needed
- Manage the studio events calendar
- Manage Zoukak company calendar
- Handle the emails received via the website & respond to all website feedback emails
mission 2: Deliver the communication of all zoukak activities
- Create and manage the communication plan (who, what, when) for all Zoukak activities in collaboration with the project coordinators; including events organized by Zoukak.
- Liaise with graphic designer to deliver all communication materials related to the activities (poster, flyer…) in coordination with projects coordinators & the General Manager
- Update the website in a proactive manner in coordination with activities' coordinators
- Manage the communication on the social media streams
- Handle the press before, during and after the activities.
- Deliver the press release and press review for all the activities
- Collect and analyze audiences information in relation with the audiences building strategy
- Coordinate all the communication tasks related to Sidewalks and manage its communication (pre / post event).
- Manage logistics related to Sidewalks events (props, audio-visual materials, studio reservation etc.)
- Support in the development of a network and strategy for international touring and dissemination of Zoukak Company’s artistic work
mission 3: Enhance Zoukak visibility & Audience Building
- Produce Zoukak portfolios, presentation and marketing materials
Prepare and launch the monthly newsletter: collecting information and documents, organizing them on the template, in English and Arabic.
- Manage and strengthen the relationship with the press beyond the activities
- Rely on the use of the website and social media to reach a larger audience in order to get national, regional and international exposure.
- Network with other organizations to increase Zoukak’s visibility and engage with Zoukak’s partners, support members and stakeholders.
- Manage the support program communication and follow-up including the organization of the annual and specific events.
- Contribute to and implement the communication strategy related to new audiences building including head of missions, curators, festival directors, NGO managers etc.
- Manage communication on international touring of Zoukak.
- Contribute to the writing of funding proposals
mission 4: Archiving
Create communication files for all projects
Maintain the contacts databases (press, partners, supporters, professors, artists, cultural institutions, etc.) and update them regularly
Maintain the database of funders and potential funders.
Develop and maintain Zoukak audio-visual library.
Archive the communication materials for all the activities (press release, press reviews, flyer, poster, synopsis, photos, videos, press reviews etc.)
qualifications and requirements
Previous experience in communication management or other relevant professional fields
Previous experience in the civil society/ development field and/or in the cultural sector
Knowledge in press and media fields
The capacity to manage the communication needs of various projects from beginning to end
Fluency in Arabic, English. French is a plus.
Expertise in MS. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe (Photoshop is a plus).
