British Policing Support Project ADMINISTRATION-FINANCE SUPPORT OFFICER - TERMS OF REFERENCE   Job Title:                              Administration-Finance Support Officer Reports to:                          Finance Officer Time Basis:                          Full-time Period:                                  Current to 31 March 2017 with possibility of extending (with 3 months’ probation period) Location:                              Beirut with travel within Lebanon Compensation:                  Competitive based on experience    Project Overview Through the British Policing Support Project (2016-19) the United Kingdom supports the Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) to meet the challenges to Lebanon’s stability and public safety. Key strategic elements of the British Policing Support Project (BPSP) relate to mainstreaming a Community Policing model, improving internal and external accountability, enhancing Human Rights and building the capacity and professionalism of the ISF.   Role The Admin-Finance Support Officer supports on all financial and administrative duties arising from the implementation of BPSP, working especially to support the Finance Officer.   Accountabilities and Responsibilities Support in the logistical preparation of workshops, seminars, presentations, visiting missions, field trips, including liaising between stakeholders. Ensure the office is maintained to a professional standard and properly equipped at all times.  Manage subcontractors including electricity provider and cleaner, as required. Support on the collection and organisation of data and documents arising from Project activities. Support on organising translation services, prepare unofficial translations and occasionally act as an interpreter when necessary. Support on working with subcontractors including office suppliers and consumables, and specialist police equipment suppliers. Support the Project Officer and Project Coordinators in their responsibilities and provide assistance to other BPSP personnel when necessary. Support research into pricing of materials and services, and support on initial due diligence. Support on collecting and filing information and documents for financial records. Assist in covering for the Project Logistics Support Officer, Project Coordinators, and Project Officer and Finance Officer in their absence. Person Profile Good communicator and ability to maintain good working relations. Organised and interested to learn new skills and processes. Flexible with a strong work ethic, problem solving and collaborative approach.   Essential Experience and Skills  Undergraduate degree. Excellent Arabic and English. One years’ professional experience in paid or voluntary positions. Competency in Microsoft Office suite.   Desirable Experience and Skills Experience of office management and administration. Understanding of financial processes and practices.
