Social Worker

Objective: The social worker will provide social counseling and assistance in response to the needs of refugees and asylum-seekers referred to the center. The social worker will perform a variety of task and duties intending to find the best solution for beneficiaries and to make the project and activities successful.The social worker will inform beneficiaries of their choices and guide them through their own problem-solving process in a participatory way.  Duties performed:  - Conduct home visits - Provide moral support and recreational activities to ensure that refugees are able to survive the very difficult experience of being in an asylum country - Refer traumatized cases to a psychologist for counseling and assistance - Identify vulnerable families or individuals whether to benefit from humanitarian and medical assistance based on criteria of selection if any.  - Identification of the main needs and the other problems linked to either material conditions or psychological trauma during the home visits of the social assistant to the families - Distribution of humanitarian aid to Refugee families carried out according to the specific needs and will be conducted in the camp. - Identify of the space adapted for the psychological counselling - Identify the vulnerable people with traumatic disorder through the visits to the families and following meetings - Implemente of playful-recreational-artistic activity for  minors - Collaborate with psychotherapist to do psychotherapy sessions in the centre.  - Prepare for excursions out of the camp for Lebanese and Refugee youth.  - Identify participants for sessions of conflict resolution among Palestinian and Syrian people - Individuation of the beneficiaries of the sessions according to the problematic of the camp - Definition of the themes to deal with depending on the problems emerged in the camp
