Children Learning Center Director - Baalbeck

Job Purpose Children Learning Center Director helps ensure the day-to-day activities run smoothly at the center. He/ she supervises the development, organization, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the Early Childhood and Preschool instructional programs.  Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of the Children Learning Center Director include: Manage day-to-day activities at the center; Prepare and maintain the Preschool Handbook containing policies and procedures; Prepare periodic reports on the status of the program being implemented inside the classroom and at the center as a whole; Receive information periodically from families to determine satisfaction and effectiveness and improve the program if needed; Assist in the hiring process of teachers and other staff to run the center in compliance with Ana Aqra rules and regulations; Supervise and formally evaluate the staff including field officers, teachers and manage disciplinary processes; Hold staff meeting on a regular basis to exchange challenges faced and share success stories; Collaborate with teachers to plan instructional activities and lessons, which promote appropriate student learning; Oversee and formally evaluate the program being implemented by the teachers inside the classroom; Teach, educate, and monitor learners; Fill in for a sick teacher and model whenever needed; Evaluate and procure equipment and supplies for the center or approve request for purchasing; Monitor the safety of learners, staff, and facility; Regularly inspect equipment and play areas to ensure safety and cleanliness; Manage communication and maintain rapport with learner’s parents, local community and other organizations; Promote the positive image of the center. Qualifications: The Children Learning Center Director shall: Have at least three (3) years of excellent administrative experience, excellent experience in teaching and/or educational services. Demonstrate excellent leadership organizational skills and the ability to motivate people. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of early childhood education, curriculum development and program evaluation, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning of young children. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, Arabic and/or French both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary. Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications. Demonstrate the ability to use computers for word processing, data management, and telecommunications. Commitment to the CHILD.
