The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.  For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.ngo   About the job  The Cash for Rent Assistant will provide short-term, project based support to DRC’s cash team to assist the implementation of the cash for rent element of the BPRM project.  The Cash for Rent Assistant will support in the gathering of relevant paperwork, liaising with the tenants and the landlords, and uploading information on the relevant databases.   Duties  • Collect list of eligible beneficiaries from the MEL team. Contact eligible beneficiaries and describe the documents DRC needs to gather.  • Visit beneficiaries to gather documents. Visit landlord to gather documents proving house ownership  • Provide clear briefings to cash recipients on the field about the Liban Post process and the hotline. Prepare cash for rent file will all the necessary paperwork  • Coordinate with the Legal Consultant and the Protection team to give information on beneficiaries who need legal support with their rent contracts  • Support the Cash Officer in the preparation of HHs visits for distribution of Liban Post cards, per area of intervention and ensuring best use of cars and assets   • Provide the Cash Officer with the internal tracking sheet on a daily basis for the preparation of the Liban Post campaigns & the needed and accurate information in order to fill in the IPT on a monthly basis  • Ensure compliance of the Code of Conduct and Cash SOP   • To provide daily reports to the Cash officer, including accurate figures of distributions done and challenges encountered, in the agreed format.   • Report any field security incidents immediately as they occur to the Cash officer   About you  To be successful in this role you must have a High School diploma & Computer literate with good experience in excel.   Ideally you will also have BA in relevant field. A previous INGO experience. And an experience in working with refugees and vulnerable people.    We offer  An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 3 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from June 2016 and be willing and able to work in Baalback.  Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
