Social workers will be working in a multidisciplinary team on a protection project with AJEM and its partners. Work sites are distributed between Syrian refugees’ camp sites, local office and detention centers in North Bekaa.
Tasks:
- Design small trainings and awareness sessions - Conduct focus group discussions, informal skill training and awareness sessions with children, youth, men and women, according to the weekly schedule of activities - Organization of interviews and visits according to service provider. - Plan and proceed with daily scheduled activities: education – social – psychosocial – recreational; inside refugees’ camps and when needed in detention centers. - Enable the participation of the target population in the planned activities - Keep attendance registers and monthly inventory for all activities. - Coordinate with other partners for updated information and for activity follow up (meetings, common visits…)
Skills required:
- Good written and oral communication skills in Arabic, French and English.
- Proficiency in all Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint...) and internet resources
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team and coordinate between different parties involved in the activity.
- Belief in human rights and knowledge about civil society
- Knowledge about protection and legal aid mechanisms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
