Social Worker Assistant

Terre des Hommes Italy, non-governmental international organization, is recruiting two social worker assistants to be involved in the implementation of the project “Strengthening Protection for Syrian refugees and Lebanese vulnerable girls and boys and their caregivers through community based and Psycho-Social Support activities building up their resilience, and provision of Case Management services”. JOB PURPOSE The social worker assistant will support the Social Worker and the Team Leader in their daily activities in the SDCs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To collect attendance of beneficiaries attending the SDC; To ensure proper data entry; To ensure proper documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies); Supporting the monitoring of protection risks and needs and identifying protection cases; To support the SW in outreach activities in each of the areas covered by the project; To support the planning and the organization of  assessment of needs and outreach activities under the supervision of the Team leader; To support the organization of regular awareness and information activities; To identify beneficiaries with special needs; To support the referral of beneficiaries with special needs to specialized NGOs according to predefined referral pathways; To participate to the weekly meetings with TDH IT Staff, to share lessons learned and exchange experiences; To support the writing of weekly reports; To comply with the TDH IT Code of Conduct; Any other duties relating to the nature of the job. Experience and requirements Degree in social and behavioral science, preferable social work or any other related field At least 6 months work experience in child protection programs in development or emergency, preferable social work or case management Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure, enjoy field work Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children Good communication skills Time management and organizational skills Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus Microsoft Office: Word and Excel is a must
