We are looking for a highly qualifiedcandidate to fill up the position ofGBV Caseworker with WCL Halba funded by Danish Refugee Council DRC. Who are we?The Women Charity League (WCL) is a social non-governmental, non-political organization established in 1945 to serve orphans and the deprived aiming for social humanitarian and non-sectarian development.  WCL is a member in several local NGOs and CSOs, and distributes its social, educational and development activities all over Akkar. WCL established the first school for girls’ education in Bebnine in 1946, the first orphanage in Halba in 1956, the first vocational training school in Halba in 1960 and the first mixed school in Halba in 1968. DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.ngo About the jobProviding case management and psychosocial support to women and girls and particularly gender-based violence survivors Duties In compliance with best-practice and international standards in GBV response, provide direct psychosocial support for vulnerable women and girls and particularly GBV survivors. Case management services will include assessment of needs, development of an action plan for recovery, implementing the action plan and ensuring appropriate follow up and close the case when appropriate. The case management process should be implemented through a survivor-centered approach;  Provide age-appropriate counseling for vulnerable adolescent girls and children through the implementation of tools developed for caring for child survivors and in the best interest of the child.  Provide age-appropriate quality psychosocial support in safe spaces (WCL) including emotional support group sessions and awareness sessions;  Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner upon CP/GBV Officer’s validation; Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers;  Receive referrals from different agencies, do action plan and appropriate response to each case; Liaise with relevant stakeholders and advocacy to address gaps in GBV response services and referral protocols; About you To be successful in this role you must haveBachelor/Degree in Social work, Counseling, psychology or other related field;  Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times; Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility; Flexibility in working overtime when needed; Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel); Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well and At least 2 years of experience in counseling survivors of gender-based violence or vulnerable women and girls; As well as Master degree in gender studies, social work and/or psychology, previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings and previous experience working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon We offerAn interesting job. WCL will offer the successful applicant a 4 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from mid-April2016 and be willing and able to work in Halba.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Women Charity League’s Terms of Employment for National staff.  The basic salary for this position is 1,000 USD per month.
