Theatrical Trainer

Purpose This document outlines the goals of the theatrical committee training’s, the responsibilities of World Vision (first party), and the responsibilities of potential contracted second parties. It also defines the process interested second parties must undergo in order to bid for contract fulfillment, as well as a timeframe for overall project success. Project Description World Vision Lebanon is looking for a professional expert with a strong background and experience in delivering trainings on “Theatrical techniques’ and how to prepare an educational curriculum on three main topics: Child Labor – Violence against children and early marriage.  The consultant’s main role will be to plan and deliver 15 Trainings for the theatrical committee members during the three months May, June and July to be capable and equipped to deliver the docudrama /curriculum for teachers to raise awareness for the students on the topics mentioned above in their schools. We are planning for FY16 on the below points:  First: Train the theatrical committee members on “theatrical plays techniques” and how to prepare an educational curriculum or docudrama on three main topics; Child Labor, Violence against children and early marriage.   Second: Prepare the docudrama and teach the committee members about it Third  : Support the committee members in delivering the training for teachers and to teach them how to use the curriculum in order to be capable to use it in their schools.   Contractor (Second Party) Specifications A qualified candidate for the second party contractor must: Be organization/trainer able to work with the theatrical committee members ( created from three years ago from Lebanese youth and we will invite this year Syrian youth for more integration). Be experienced in working with community members on “theatrical plays” . Be experienced in preparing a curriculum and docudrama. Be sufficiently able to fulfill contract requirements within specified timeframe (includes adequate staffing) Provide a detailed plan for delivering 15 trainings. Have a good communication and facilitation skills. Familiar with civil society and NGO engagement.  Have Good analytical and critical thinking. Have Good reporting skills. Program Specifications:   Subject/Session Month ADP Duration of the session Meeting with the consultant to start preparing the material. End of April Bekaa area 2 hours meeting   Provide 5 days training for the theatrical committee members May 2016 Bekaa area  5 hours per day Provide 5 days training for the theatrical committee members June 2016 Bekaa area 5 hours per day Provide 5 days training for the theatrical committee members July 2016 Bekaa area 5 hours per day Launching for the curriculum /docudrama August 2016 Bekaa area 2 hours Provide 2 Coaching days for already trained theatrical committee members’ during two days when then will be delivering themselves the sessions. August or ,September 2016 Bekaa area 2 days ( 3 hours per day) Provide One day follow up training, based on the observation during the coaching visits tackling additional skills/information needed August or September 2016 Bekaa area 3 hours Submit one final report for WV upon the end of trainings, coaching and follow up emphasizing on further training needs of the committee members, challenges and recommendations. September 2016 Bekaa area     Party Responsibilities World Vision (First Party) The first party agrees to: Provide sufficient project funding. Review second party reports and provide general oversight as necessary.   Contractor (Second Party) The second party agrees to: Submit a report detailing: Attendance at these trainings Narrative Report Curriculum /Docudrama   Project Timeframe Submit all specified bidding documents by April 12 20,2016   Required Documents for Bid Potential second party must submit the following documents to be considered for the project: Legal registration/certificate for being an official organization. Proposed budget, detailing: Training costs Coaching sessions costs Field activities costs.   In case the Consultant is not registered with Ministry of Finance, a deduction of 7.5 % should always be considered.
