Ceramics/pottery Instructor

GOALUnder direct supervision from the School Director, the ceramics/pottery teacher performs a variety of duties in coordinating and instructing ceramics for special need students. RESPONSIBILITIES1. Supervises the Ceramics class 2. Plans and instructs special technique classes 3. Instructs students in handling of clay 4. Writes detailed reports on each students progress and gives feedback to therapy department and coordinators 5. Oversees inventory and purchase of supplies 6. Maintains program records to include attendance, expenses, revenues and volunteer hours. 7. Responsible for proper care and maintenance of kilns and other equipment. 8. Responsible for keeping work areas neat; 9. Attends to proper storage of ceramic supplies.
