Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious humanitarian NGO. Its objective is to bring about a global response to the basic needs of populations suffering from acute humanitarian crisis and to allow them to recover their autonomy and dignity.
Today, PU-AMI is intervening in 21 countries in Africa, the Near East, Caucasus, Asia and the Caribbean to cover the needs of populations affected by conflict, natural disasters or economic crises.
PU-AMI in Lebanon has been implementing emergency and recovery projects in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, in Shelter Rehabilitation, Health and in Livelihood Recovery sectors.
POSITION GENERAL INFORMATION

Supervision of : AME Senior Field Officers, AME Field Officers and AME Field workers
Under the overall supervision of: Field Coordinator
OVERALL MISSION
General objective
Under the direct supervision of the AME Manager, the AME Team Leader is responsible for the qualitative, quantitative and timely implementation of the AME activities. He/she coordinates and monitors the work of all Officers dedicated to these activities and of administrative and follow up of its team.
Responsibilities and tasks
4 AME: He/She will follow up implementation of all AME-related activities.
4 Human Resources: He/She will manage the team of officers under his/her responsibility
4 Logistics and Administration: He/She will administratively and logistically manage the AME team and operational requests
4 Safety and Security: He/She will assist in following safety and security rules on-base and will transmit all safety and security information to the AME Manager.
Specific objectives and linked activities
Implementing the Assessment, Monitoring & Evaluation plan per project
4 From lessons learned and experience on the field, participation in defining methodologies for major baseline and needs assessment studies;
4 Conducting and supervising routine needs assessments and baselines;
4 Ensuring quality and accuracy of data and the serious follow up of available guidelines.
4 Ensuring a good communication with operational teams on preparation of AME activities, implementation and results of AME.
Providing grant proposals and reports with accurate and qualitative data and analysis
4 Collecting and analysing quality and accurate data and making sure to follow up the archiving system for M&E related activities;
4 In collaboration with the implementation team, to identify needs and gaps of humanitarian assistance;
4 To contribute to the analysis of data collected in collaboration with the AME Manager;
AME team management and capacity building
4 To manage and lead by example and provide advice, mentorship and guidance to the team under his responsibility;
4 To train field officers in new activities and procedures;
4 To follow up the AME team under his responsibility according to the missions’ Standard Operating Procedures (daily management, performance evaluation, holidays management);
4 To do regular monitoring of AME officer’s work by constantly visiting to the areas of intervention and getting feedback when not directly on the field
4 With the AME Manager, conduct performance evaluation of the AME team, and set up and follow up individual or team objectives;
Organization & Follow up
4 To implement and follow up the AME department activities in direct collaboration with the AME Manager of the base;
4 To organize, schedule, coordinate and plan the department activities and the team’s work;
4 To ensure proper coordination and liaison with the programs departments;
Internal and external reporting
4 With its team, to prepare internal/external assessments, monitoring and evaluation reports according to SOPs and methodologies developed internally;
4 To contribute feedback on tools, methodologies or any other topic when required;
4 To participate in the liaison with local authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders under delegation from the AME Manager;
4 To contribute to research and draft reporting as directed by the AME Manager and report weekly on the progress of activities;
4 To communicate on any issue faced on the field or with the team to the AME Manager as soon as it arises.

QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory requirements
Language skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking/reading/writing)
Education degree: Baccalaureate/University degree in social science or any other relevant field
Work experience: 1 year experience working for an NGO in an implementation or evaluation team
Knowledge & skills: Good analytical and writing skills / Good team leadership spirit/Good understanding of humanitarian ethics
Computer skills: Good knowledge of the MS Office software (including Word, Excel, Outlook)
