Who are we
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job
The MEL Senior Officer is responsible to support the implementation of the M&E plan for the DRC Lebanon DFID project, including: monitoring of project outputs, programme data quality assurance, and compliance with donor M&E requirements.
Duties
• Timely data collection, validation and meaningful synthesis / reporting and dissemination of results
• Ensure DRC is compliant with DFID reporting requirements
• Ensure Monitoring is useful for programme teams at Beirut and field levels
• Ensure data collected is in line with requirements of DRC Lebanon database and work with DB Coordinator to ensure outputs of the system to meet DFID M&E / result tracking requirements
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
Essential qualifications:
• A Bachelor degree in social sciences, community or international development, public health, social work or similar.
• Strong IT skills – particularly with Microsoft Office suite (good Excel skills essential);
Essential experience:
• A minimum of two years experience in humanitarian and/or development work.
• At least one year experience in a M&E position.
• Training and capacity development experience.
• Experience in participatory assessments and monitoring, quantitative/qualitative data collection/processing, facilitation and interviews with groups and individuals.
• Familiarity with new technologies for data collection, including mobile data collection applications such as ODK or similar.
• Good contextual knowledge of Lebanon – including national/local issues, community priorities, social and cultural realities/constraints, and organizational relationships
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract till end of September 2016, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from March 2016 and be willing and able to work in Beirut.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at levelC+1, equivalent to 1905 USD per month.
