Psychosocial Coach

Overall Responsibility Under the supervision of the Project Officer, the psychosocial Coach will be responsible for providing psychosocial support to women and girls and particularly gender-based violence victims/survivors.   Main Duties and Responsibilities Coordinating with the Project Officer on the schedule of the psychosocial activities to be conducted. Providing direct psychosocial support for vulnerable women and girls and particularly GBV survivors, development of an action plan for recovery, implementing the action plan and ensuring appropriate follow up and close the case when appropriate. Providing age-appropriate counseling for vulnerable women and girls and particularly GBV survivors. Providing age-appropriate quality psychosocial support in safe spaces (community centers and women resource centers) including emotional support group sessions. Managing referrals to different agencies, do action plan and appropriate response to each case. Providing feedback of actions taken to IRL Gender focal point and Project Officer. Working closely with the child protection section when GBV cases involve child survivors, particularly when assessing best interest of the child. Providing progress reports to the Gender Officer on a weekly basis. Collecting the number of beneficiaries benefitting from the sessions.  Directly reporting any security / field / office Incidents to the Gender Officer. Maintaining contact with Child Welfare Project Officer. Respecting and applying Islamic Relief policies and procedures such as “GBV Policy” and “Confidentiality Policy”. Submission regular reports to line management. Performing any other duties requested by line manager.
