The project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of the projects to ensure they are in line with the stated goals of the organization.
Duties and responsibilities:
Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management;
Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project;
Develop a schedule in coordination with the program director for project completion; and share it with senior management and project staff.
In coordination with the human resources, participate in the recruiting, interviewing and selecting process of the project staff;
Manage project staff and ensure that everyone on the team understands the scope of the project and agrees upon how the project’s goals will be met.
Execute the project according to the project plan;
Monitor the progress of the project to ensure high quality of the work completed and timely production of all deliverables and document project activities.
Compile and write needed reports for the management on weekly and monthly basis;
Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures and cash flows and ensure up to date financial records;
Serve as the primary contact and ensure appropriate liaison with senior management and project funder.
Participate in presentations about the project to the board and to other key stakeholders as required;
Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and within budget;
Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
Qualifcations:
University degree in business, sociology, public administration or any related field; PMP certification is a plus;
3-5 years of previous experience working as Project Manager within the non-profit sector;
Proven experience in leading and managing complex projects;
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships;
Capability of conveying information and delegating tasks;
Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget;
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
