Surgical Ward Nurse

Minimum required knowledge & experience: • University degree or professional diploma of nursing• 3 - 5 years’ work experience in orthopedic department• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English• Very good computer skills• Good communication skills• Good analytical skills• Good team leadership skills Standard function description: • The Surgical Ward Nurse, under the supervision of the expat Emergency Room Nurse, implements and monitors the objectives defined by the delegation towards the RHUH Emergency Care project.• Assists the hierarchy in running support or operational activities for surgical activities.• Contributes to the implementation and monitoring of specific projects / programmes within the ICRC surgical department.• Performs various office duties on the computer.• Ensures follow up and updates of specific files independently.  JOB DESCRIPTION  Surgical ward • Promotes and maintains quality nursing care and implements hygiene control rules.• Contributes to the development and implementation of ICRC nursing protocols in close collaboration with the surgical team.• Communicates effectively with the multidisciplinary team in order to promote efficient patient care and maintain channels of communication with other team members and departments.• Assists in training sessions (seminars, bed side, other specific topics)
