Project Coordinator

  Job title: Project Coordinator   Project starting date: 1 Feb 2016   Type of work: Full time   Place: The work is based in Beirut; however the activities are to be implemented in Tripoli (all transportation related to project implementation are covered by the association)   Title of the project: “Enjoying a Safe Adolescence” Purpose of the project The project “Enjoying a Safe Adolescence” is a pilot project to identify and build capacity train Child Protection NGO’s working with adolescents on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), HIV/STIs and substance abuse prevention, provide TOT and peer to peer outreach to children at risk in the refugee and Lebanese community, and pilot a life skills module for substance abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention. Responsibilities and Tasks The project coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the SIDC program manager and ensure proper implementation of all activities of the project: Map NGOs/ CSOs and partners organization of UNICEF that could be engaged potentially in the project activities and select focal points Identify peers among the beneficiaries of NGOs to be trained as youth peer to peer street outreach workers Develop selection criteria to identify actors from UNICEF Partners for the Case management workshop for children and youth at high risk of substance abuse and infection by HIV Prepare for a capacity needs assessment among actors Prepare Knowledge and Practices assessment tool for youth Prepare with facilitators the package of the training and materials for workshops Prepare and be engaged in the implementation of training workshops and in conducting coaching sessions with workshop trainees Coordinate and ensure the collection of data Coordinate and ensure documentation of the project results and data analysis Write monthly report about project progress and challenges and future action plan     Abilities related to the program implementation -          Able to learn about sexual health, HIV and drug use and all related issues -          Respect confidentiality and ethics of the work -          Able to work in a team -          Able to deliver under stress and short notice period -          Able to accept to be monitored and supervised -          Able to respect deliverables’ time table and action plan   Technical abilities -          Abilities to work on Word, PowerPoint and Excel is a plus -          Abilities to do research, and compile documents   -          Fluent in written and spoken Arabic & English, French is a plus
