Nurse Helper Backup - Bekaa Valley

-Scope of responsibility: • Ensure the general functioning of the pharmacy of a field project. • Ensure appropriate registration of patients in accordance with MSF protocols. • Assist medical doctor and ensure comfort care to patients in accordance with doctors’ prescriptions, MSF protocols, respect of universal hygiene standards and context. Always work under the supervision of the doctor. -Function responsibilities include: • Assist the medical team to carry out care and treatment, according to doctors’ prescriptions and MSF guidelines and assist in patient education. • Assist with physical inventory of pharmacy. • Know and apply universal hygiene standards. • Compensate patient lack of autonomy regarding his feeding, his personal hygiene, his movements and his comfort. • Participate in the surveillance of the patient. • Triage patients according to medical priority. In case of emergency assist the nurse/doctor as requested. • Participate in the PTE (patient therapeutic education) in conjunction with nurse and health promoter, keeping a patient based approach. • Participation in the project monitoring. -Working hours: 8:30 a.m. till 17:00 p.m. - Type of contract: 6 months fixed term backup contract. - : Working days will be based on the needs; replacement of nurses or nurse helpers in MSF clinics; Baalbeck, Majdal Anjar and Hermel, covering their paid, sick or compassionate leaves – No fixed schedule.
