Project Officer - Livelihood

Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and the direct supervision of the Emergency Response and Stabilization Coordinator and in coordination with the other heads of other support units, the incumbent is responsible for,   Assist in monitoring and overseeing livelihoods and social stability programming relevant to the on-going Syria crisis response. Coordinate assessment of displaced communities and Lebanese returnees, whenever appropriate. Maintain data collection and analysis mechanisms, including distribution tracking systems, and share relevant information with partners within the humanitarian community. Support the Emergency Response and Stabilization Coordinator in liaising with local authorities, United Nations (UN) and non-governmental organizations (NGO) counterparts in Lebanon as relevant. Participate in all relevant sectoral and inter-agency working groups, including livelihoods and social stability, with strategic and operational inputs, as needed. Undertake duty travel to conduct field evaluations and needs assessments. Assist in developing sector strategy through close coordination with other emergency response sectors, and supporting units, Ensure that activities address target indicators in relation to approved milestones to achieve planned objectives, and identify solutions for obstacles Compile and submit periodic technical and progress reports, Provide training, coaching and capacity building to staff members, Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
