Context of the visit

Objectives the training
Develop and deliver three months of English training to small groups of employees of different levels: beginner, intermediate and confirmed – 8 persons maximum in each group.
Tasks Ahead
Typical tasks that may be carried out include:
• Classroom management.
• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to a range of small groups of different levels.
• Preparing and setting tests, examination papers, and exercises.
• Marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work.
• Devising, writing and producing new materials, including audio and visual resources.
• Oral teaching methods, such as vocabulary control, the theory of language and teaching activities.
• Basic administration, such as keeping employee registers and attendance records.
• Design a lesson plan, so that all activities move employees towards mastery of the standards for the day.
Qualities of the right English trainer:
• Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
• A minimum of three years’ experience in English training.
• A certificate-level qualification in teaching English
• Employee Engagement: Trainer maintains high standards for classroom behaviour and participation, employing thoughtful strategies, routines, and/or procedures to get to know students, and help the class run smoothly.
• Dynamic presence: Trainer has a dynamic presence, projecting a sense of enthusiasm for and confidence in both the students and the content. Trainer conveys commitment to employees, that is his/her responsibility to ensure that they meet high standards

Room in Solidarités International office available for the training, Overhead projector, computers for students (if needed), stationaries.
