Under the general supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Senior Operations Officer in Beirut, the incumbent will be responsible for providing specialized assistance to all operations and logistics requirement/activities for the resettlement programme. He/she will be responsible for the transport related to departures and medical exams, CO logistics for refugees as well as liaise with Government authorities at provincial and district level
Guide and supervise the Tripoli team and assign their tasks accordingly
Liaise with the local authorities, district authorities, and army intelligence.
Coordinate the movements with the military and UNHCR regarding the security clearance of refugees.
Ensure all the necessary documents as exit permit, medical documents and visa process for the refugees are in compliance with the procedures.
Make sure all the appropriate movements from Tripoli to Beirut are well managed in coordination with the logistics department (resettlement process/ departures/ interview missions/ medical and cultural orientation) and keep record of all these movements.
Carry out any requested TDY.
Make sure that schedule either for medical screenings or for departures of travel-ready cases are made. Make sure that all the files of each refugee are duly completed.
Support Operations staff in IOM Beirut, on all logistical related issues.
Report to the operations officer any operational issues and suggest remedial actions, compile information and tasks to be done, anticipate the needs and transport requirements prior to movements.
In coordination with Finance department, maintain the expenses payments and records related to rental and running cost of Tripoli Office, transport cost, escorts and other expenses and make the payments accordingly.
Assist in ensuring that all IOM missions are running smoothly and safely in terms of security challenges and represent IOM at ASMT/ASC meetings as IOM security focal point/warden of Tripoli region in Lebanon.
Support AVRR program surveys, assessments, cases follow up and monitoring.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
