Icla Team Leader (Small Shelter Unit)

Generic responsibilities Coordinate ICLA activities conducted for NRC shelter beneficiaries according to strategy, proposals, budgets and plans. Ensure adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements. Ensure protection mainstreaming during household level visits to NRC shelter beneficiaries. Involve and inform communities and community leaders about the activities Break down the annual operational plans into weekly, monthly and quarterly implementation plans. Coordinate with relevant partners. Supervise, train and develop the ICLA SSU team. Develop Standard Operating Procedures for ICLA SSU team. Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents as required.   Specific responsibilities Support the Information Field Officers in preparing and implementing the work plans to achieve specific objectives of the ICLA SSU team. Organise work of Information Field Officers, focusing on the following areas: Ensure protection mainstreaming; Ensure provision of high quality of information and legal aid; Ensure standardization of activities according to ICLA handbook and agreed procedures. Feed into NRC strategy review processes, particularly to support the integration between ICLA and Shelter activities. Oversee the weekly and monthly schedule for household visits in the designated area where NRC functions. Assist in the sensitization of the Syrian and Palestinian Refugees from Syria and host communities on the existing ICLA activities. Oversee information documents for target communities. Receive technical input from ICLA National team and Legal Field Officers. Constantly monitor and follow-up on the quality of services provided during the outreach activities. Conduct regular visits and spot check visits to NRC shelter units.   Assist in contributing to the development of referral mechanisms in collaboration with other NGOs, ICLA team and NRC Managers. Attend and participate in relevant meetings, in coordination with relevant NRC staff. Assist in designing the needed forms, questionnaires and other templates. Make sure that archiving system up to date (both in hardcopies and electronically). Report weekly & monthly (or more often, if required) on activities and results to the relevant NRC staff. Carry out administrative tasks as agreed upon. Perform any other task as assigned by NRC management.   Critical interfaces By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are: ICLA National Team ICLA Field Teams NRC Core Competencies CCB, Shelter, WASH and Education NRC Shelter Social and Technical Teams   1.      Competencies   Generic professional competencies for this position: University education in Political Science; International Relations; Law; Legal Services or other Social Sciences Previous experience in managing a team; Previous experience in community sensitization/mobilization Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Previous experience in conflict resolution is desirable Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal         Context related skills, knowledge and experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience Experience of working with IDPs/Refugees in a humanitarian/recovery context is an advantage   3.
