Financial Officer

We are looking for a motivated Financial Officer with at least 2-year experience in the non-profit sector, with knowledge of handling donors’ budgets. Candidates with experience limited to the banking or financial sector won’t be considered.   Position The job is a part-time one, ideally 3 mornings per week.  The FO will report directly to the coordinator.  S/he will implement the available financial system and will keep on developing it as to support substantial growth over the next five years. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to: Prepare and finalize the monthly financial reporting materials for Bidayyat’s board of advisors, reviewed and approved by the coordinator; Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow for administration and existing programs; Prepare financial reports and request for funds jointly with coordinator; Assist in drafting interim financial report and final financial report and auditing reports; Assist in preparation of budgets for new proposals; Prepare contracts related to staff and rendered services;   Qualifications 2 to 4 years; Bachelor’s degree (MA/MBA preferred) in Business, Management, Accounting or Finance; Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team; Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting, ideally in the nonprofit sector; Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development. Demonstrated expertise in budgeting for new projects in collaboration with the coordinator; Flexible and a self-starter, capability to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented; Personal qualities of integrity, credibility; Commitment to Bidayyat’s mission.
