Audio Visual/website Production Volunteer

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate that has the skills to engage in our organization as an Audio Visual/Website Production Volunteer. Who are weDRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects.DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. Since May 2011, DRC has been actively involved in the Lebanon emergency response to the Syrian crisis with presence in the North, East (Bekaa valley) and South of Lebanon. The DRC response is designed around 4 majors sectors: Food /NFI distribution, Protection, Shelter and livelihood support. As such, DRC is positioned in Lebanon as a main implementing partner of UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, ECHO and DANIDA, For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk Duties• Assist Visual Content Producer (VCP), MEL-IM Coordinator and Communications Manager in preparation of material for the DFID website• Assist VCP in shootings and recordings in different locations around Lebanon when needed• Transcribe interviews in Arabic and English• Prepare time-coded scripts from interviews for the audio podcasts following guidelines from VCP, Communications Manager and MEL-IM Coordinator.• Research and compile Creative Commons music score list to be possibly used in Visual and Audio products following guidelines from VCP and MEL-IM Coordinator• Manage the VCP and website development calendar input dates for activities and liaise & follow up with different DRC offices concerning the schedules and planned activities • Draft and/or edit different texts for the website project • Assist in post-production• Conduct specific researches when asked• Research and compile a list of website templates and builders following instructions from MEL-IM Coordinator and VCP example: Map of Displacement• Assist in production of material for web development. About youTo be successful in this role you must have:• Essential qualifications: Media and / or Communications University degree. Well organized and meticulous, attentive to details, able to travel around Lebanon, excellent communication skills, creative thinking and open to challenges• Essential experience: Basic experience in video and photo shooting, basic experience in audio recording and audio editing, experience in text editing, writing in Arabic and English, basic experience in translation between Arabic and English, fluent in Internet research We offerAn interesting volunteering job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 3 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from January 2016 and be willing and able to work in Beirut.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for volunteers.
