Community Mobilizer Assistant

Major Duties And Responsibilities:  Planning and Assesment - Participate in site and beneficiary selection - Participate in the assesment of shelter and WASH needs in Informal Settlments - Assist in planning distriburtion activities Implementation -Assist in the implementation of distribution activities - Support logistics activities - Complete associated beneficiary recipient documentation - Establish and facilitate community groups within Informal Settlements - Monitor Informal Settlements residents behavior    Communication - Work with existing team to locate and select ITS within current target locations - Establish and maintain good communication lines local authorities, with local leaders and residents in Informal Settlements - Assist in translation as needed - Communicate implementation issues to supervisor   Reporting -  Establish worksheets to update records and monitor activities - Ensure organized and updated records - Participate in the generation of final reports of the project activities upon request    Person Specifications and Competencies: - Experience in community mobilisation, training or informal education - Good working knowledge of geography and culture of the bekaa valley region is desirable. - Strong working knowledge of written and spoken English and Arabic - Ability to use Microsoft Office package and Outlook. - Passionate about serving the most vulnerable. - Self Motivated and Enthusiatic. - Aptitude for community mobilisation and engagement. - Team-Player with good inter-personal skills. - Willing to support others and share vorkloads. - Capacity to work under pressure and manage personal stress levels, creative, open-minded, flexible and self learner. - Ability to adapt communication strategies for different situations. - Strong communication, particularly verbal. - Ability to translate between spoken Arabic and English  - Ability to take initiative, encourage others, working within hostile environments and deal with conflict
